Alexander McConchie (also known as Alexander McConchy) was born on 28 December 1812 in Kirkcudbright, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland. He is the son of Freeland McConchy and Janet Sturgeon.[1]
On 7 December 1836, Alexander married Elizabeth Purdie at Kirkcudbright, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland.[2]
In 1871, aged 56, Alexander was living in Millburn Street, Kirkcudbright, with his wife Elizabeth and daughters Jane (13) and Mary (8). He was working as a woodcutter.[3]
In 1881, aged 66, he was still living in Kirkcudbright with his wife Elizabeth, working as a woodcutter. [4]
He died on 12 October 1883 in Kirkcudbright, Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland.
