William McConchie Jnr was born in Scotland.

William was born on the 7 August 1832 in Stranraer, Wigtownshire, Scotland, he was the son of William McConchie Snr and Agnes (McCormick) McConchie. William was christen on the 19 August 1832 at Stranraer, Wigtownshire, Scotland. ^[1]

Emigrated England/Melbourne/Hokitika 11 September 1865 on the Albion.

Marriage

He married Hesther (Esther)(Steer) McConchie on the 4 May 1867 in Appleby, Nelson, New Zealand. ^[2] They had about twelve children.

William passed away on the 12 April 1899 at Collingwood, Nelson, New Zealand, age 62. Cause of death, Aneurysm of Aorta, Haemorrhage. ^[3] He was buried on the 14 April 1899 at the Wakapuaka Cemetery, Nelson, Nelson City, Nelson, New Zealand Plot: Block 3, Plot 021.^[4]
