Edgar Charles McConchie was born about the 18 November 1880 in Nelson, New Zealand, he is the son of William McConchie and Hesther (Steer) McConchie ^[1]

He married Minnetta (Phipps) McConchie (Minnie) on the 21 June 1905 in Collingwood, Nelson, New Zealand.^[2] They had about five children;
