Notes
There seems to be a bit of an issue with the wives of David Evans. According to records, David's 2 oldest sons were born in Wales. He was married to Mary Jane who died in 1893. But there seems to be issues on a few fronts.
David's death certificate [7] gives his parents names as David Evans and Mary Richards, as informed by his son Thomas; however, both marriage records for David list parents as John & Ellen/Ella as would have been informed by David himself.
Mary Richards comes up again in son Chester's obituary - Intelligencer Journal - 21 Jan 1984 lists parents as David X and Mary Richards Evans; yet Chester's mother was Elizabeth Williams(sometimes listed as Davis/Davies as was her previous married name)
However, son David X Evans Jr's death certificate lists parents as David X Evans & Mary I Jones. Though, David Jr's 1910 marriage license does not list parents names.
So perhaps Mary Richards is Thomas's mother's name? Is there 2 Marys? Is Mary Jane's last name actually Richards, not Jones? As David Jr's death certificate was informed by his wife Sadie, I went with Richards(It comes up MULTIPLE times). Have not found a marriage license for David X and Mary.
Son Thomas' death certificate lists father as David X Evans, mother unknown & obituary lists his parents as the Late Mr. & Mrs. David X Evans
