Chester Evans
Chester A. Evans, 86, formerly of 322 N. Lincoln Ave., died in Lancaster General Hospital Friday after a brief illness. He was the husband of Louise Evans who died in 1981.
Born in Scranton, son of the late David X. and Mary Richards Evans, he lived in Scranton until moving to Lancaster in 1981. He retired from the Burschell Dairy in Scranton. He was a member of the Bethenia Welsh Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Donald A. Pulver and Margaret J. Potter, both of Lancaster; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Washburn Street Cemetery, Scranton.[7]
