Biography

CHARLES LE BLANC is on the Wall of Names at the Acadian Memorial in St. Martinville, Louisiana Plaque 9 Right Le Saint Remi, Arrivee Le 9 Septembre, 1785. Rosalie Trahan, daughter of Claude Trahan and Marie Louise Tillard, was born about 1745 in Acadie.[2] She was recorded on the 1752 La Roque census at Anse-au-Matelost, Isle Saint-Jean (present-day Prince Edward Island) at 7 years of age, with her widowed father and 8 siblings. [3]

She was deported from Acadia to France by the British, aboard the Duke William, with her sister Marie and her family, her father, and her brother Fiacre. [4]
