Biography

CHARLES LE BLANC is on the Wall of Names at the Acadian Memorial in St. Martinville, Louisiana; Plaque 9, Right: Le Saint Remi, Arrivee le 9 Septembre, 1785. Listed with him is his wife, Rosalie Trahan and their six children: Pierre Honnore, Andre, Jean Baptiste, Marie Rose, Marie Francoise, and Barbe.^[1]

Marie Francoise LeBlanc was born on 18 Jan 1769 and baptized on the same day in Saint-Servan, Brittany (now Ille-et-Vilaine department), France, daughter of Charles Honore LeBlanc (and Rosalie Trahan. ^[2]

In September 1784 the family was recorded on the list of the Acadian families "who want to go to Louisiana to establish themselves at t he expense of His Catholic Majesty, dated Sep 1784 in Nantes, Loire-Atlantique, France. ^[3]

On 10 September 1785 they arrived at the port of New Orleans, in Spanish-ruled Louisiana. ^[4]

Marie Francoise married Jean Baptiste Boudrot on 30 Nov 1793 in Plattenville, Assumption, Louisiana, New Spain. ^[5]

Marie Francoise died before 25 April 1803. ^[6]
