Samuel was born about 1851 likely in County Down, Ireland. He married Hanna Jane Creighton on 8 Nov 1889 at 1st Presbyterian Church, Dromore, County Down. [1] They had 4 children: Samuel J Martin 1891 - 1963, Robert john Martin 1892 - ?, Frederick Martin Oct 1893 to Mar 1947 and Walter Martin 1895 - ? Information on his death, bit uncertain but possible he passed away on 20 Dec 1918 Ballyvicknacally, District of Dromore, Banbridge Union, County Down
