Biography

Ovid Anthony Martin was born on March 9, 1904, in Iberia, Missouri[1] to William Martin and Margaret Christina Koester.[2]

On October 1, 1932, Ovid married Rowena Whinrey in Springfield, Missouri.[3]

According to the 1940 census, Ovid lived with Rowena in Alexandria, Virginia. His profession is listed as a reporter.[4]

Ovid was a reporter for the Associated Press for 25 years. He covered the Department of Agriculture.[5]

Ovid died on August 24, 1979 in McLean, Virginia.[6][2]

He is buried in Rock Prairie Cemetery in Halltown, Missouri.[7]
