Marie Rose LeBlanc was born on 20 Dec 1846 and baptized on 26 Dec 1846 in Cocagne, New Brunswick, the daughter of Gabriel LeBlanc and Susanne Goguen.^[1][2] Her godparents were Luc Goguen and Marie Blanche Goguen.

In the 1861 census Mary (age 13 years) lived in Dundas, Kent, New Brunswick.^[3]
