"Att a Mo Meeting held at our meeting house neare the white oake swamp ye 4th of ye 6th mo 1725. The person appointed by ye last Mo Meeting to inquire into the clearness of Joseph Crew make reporte to this meeting he is cleare as far as they know or finde.

`Thereupon Joseph Crew and Mazcey Johnson publish their sd intentions the second time in this meeting. Garet Robt Elyson and Benjamin Johnsone are appointed by this meeting attend the marriage of the sayde cupall and make reporte to next Mo Meeting.

Wherewas Joseph Crew son of John Crew of Charles City County and Massey Johnson daughter of John Johnson of Hanover County having declared their intentions of marriage before two severall meetings of the sd peopell called Quakers in Virginia according to the good order granted a -------------- them whose proceedings in therein after a deliberate consideration to the rituous law of God were granted by the sd Meeting in relations to marriage and having consent of parience and friends concerned. Nowe these are to certify to all whom it maye concern that for the full accomplishments of their sd intentions this twelfth day of the sixth month in the yeare one thousand seven hundred and twenty five that the sd Joseph Crew and Masseye Johnson appearing in a public meeting of the aforesd peopell and other at the meeting house of the sd peopell in Hanover County and in a solemn manner he the sd Joseph Crew taking the sd Massey Johnson by the hand did openly declare as followeth in the presence of God and you my witnesses this day I take Massey Johnson to be my wife. And then and there in the sd assembly the sd Massey Johnson did in like manner declare as followeth. In the presence of God and you my witnesses this day I take Joseph Crew to be my husband.

And the said Joseph Crew and Massey his now wife as a further confirmation thereof did then and there to those persons set their hand & wee whose names here set being present among others at the solemnizing of their sd marriage & --------------- in manner aforesd in witness whereof have also ---------- names the day and year as above.
