Biography
William was born in 1839. He was the son of William Johnson and Eliza Tompson. In 1866, William married Alice Henrietta Griffiths at Granville, NSW, and the couple had ten children. William Joined the Postmaster General's Department when he turned 18, and subsequently was appointed Postmaster at West Maitland NSW in 1883. , William passed away in 1912, and is memorialized at Gore Hill Cemetery, North Sydney, NSW.
