Biography

Phoebe Rachel Jackson, one of eight known children, of William Jackson and Emeliza Tatlock [1] was born, in Jackson Co. Indiana, on 5 April in 1851. [2]In the 1600's her Jackson ancestors had settled in Pasquotank Carolina area, relocating to Jackson County Indiana, about 1800.
She and Henry Payne were married on 14 August 1881, in Jackson County, Indiana. [3] They had two children, listed below, before Rachel died on 9th of March in 1888. [2]
