Biography

In 1859 Belle Jackson, one of eight known children, of William Jackson and Emeliza Tatlock ^[1] was born, in Jackson Co. Indiana. In the 1600's her Jackson ancestors had settled in Pasquotank Carolina area, relocating to Jackson County Indiana, about 1800.

Belle and Drury L Roche, married on 16 Feb 1879 in Jackson Co. ^[2] where Drury was working in a sawmill. They had five children, their first born Grace, died in 1879 of consumption^[3] Belle died on 10 Dec 1900 also of Consumption.^[4]Their youngest son, Morris died of Spinal Menengitis, in Dec of 1901, a year after Belle died.
