John must have died by 1632 when his widow, Temperance (Baley) married as her 2nd to Lt Col Richard Cocke.[2]
John had at least two children, because Temperance's second husband was mentioned as caring for them in court records of the Court of James City, on 5 June 1632:
"...paymnt of John Browne's debts having married the relict of said Browne... Cocke is to keep some calves for the use of the Children of the said Browne... Richard Cocke shall have he use of the said money towards the bringing up of the said Children until they Come to age."[3]
John Browne served as a burgess for Shirley Hundred Island in Oct 1629.[4][5]
This John may have been one of the John Brownes who was listed among the living in 1622 or the John Browne listed in the 1624/5 Jamestown Muster (although that John gave his age as 28 at the time of the muster). Or he may have arrived after the 1624/5 muster.[6]
The following was included in the biography, but if John died by 1632, the only possibly child of his in the list would be John Browne b 1632.

I do not see any evidence of father, wife, Ursala, Ursula or daughter Elizabeth Browne Shurley, who I did not add to this profile. I believe, that Temperence Baley and John Browne had at least 2 children but ?
Hi! A proposal has been made to detach the profile of Mary (Browne) Platt (abt.1639-1700) from Temperance and John Browne. I see no evidence on this profile or Temperance's that they had a daughter named Mary who married a Platt (especially not one who was born several years after John died).
I just wanted to check if anyone might have a reliable source for her before detaching Browne-478.
I have evidence, that Martha and Mary are sisters. The only dates, that I have found for Mary's birth are 1635 and 1639 with 1639 the preferred date? John Browne had to have died by 1632, if he was the husband of Temperance Baley/Bailey, who married Richard Cocke in 1632. I realize the problem, but do not have an answer. Obviously, if the kinships are correct, then at least one of the dates is wrong. Temperance, Martha and Mary are my ancestors, so I want their information correct.
