Everardus Bogardus, the minister of the Dutch Reformed Church in New Amsterdam, who came from Holland in 1633 with Governor Wouter Van Twiller. The church in which he preached stood at what is now No. 33 Pearl Street, and his residence was at No. 23 Whitehall Street. [1]
