Newstead and Colwick - Nottingham or Lancashire? [closed]

I think of Newstead and Colwick as places in Nottinghamshire, but from time to time I see references to them in other counties, notably Lancashire. Are there multiple towns of these names, or should I dismiss the references as error?

Probably because the Byron family came from Lancashire originally, so people just think everywhere Byron-related is in Lancashire.
I sort of think of them as Nottingham

Well! That answers that!  TWO Newsteads in Lincolnshire, at that.
