I'm looking for a connection based on the following: Acc. to German immigrant Theodore Zehelein's 1953 obituary in the Chicago Tribune, his widowed wife was Anna nee Tardo. As the obituary ends with the note "New Orleans papers please copy", Anna may have hailed from New Orleans. Among the Tardos in New Orleans, I find Peter (1893-1949) whose father was Nicholas (acc. to Peter's FG profile). One of Anna and Theodore's sons is Nicholas (see above linked obituary), so they may have named him after Anna's grandfather?
I'd be grateful for any sources either supporting or refuting my currently only wild hypothesis.
Here is a clipping that has her obituary and that names her brothers Frank, Joseph and Adam Tardo and her sister Rita France:

She has a familysearch.org profile:

Her parents seem to be Nicholas and Louise Tardo:

While I wasn't able to connect them to Peter Tardo, I connected them via Anna Mae's older half-brother Dominic's father-in-law Arthur Pitre whose father had a WT profile already. Yay!
