I want to contribute to the deep genealogy on our shared tree. Here are people I can add, along with dates and locations:

Here are the sources I am using:

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

Before you can edit that profile, you will need to obtain pre-1700 certification.

Look for "pre-1700" in Category:Help.

It appears that Robert Reade is the wrong spouse for Mary Lilly, per MARRIAGES OF SOME VIRGINIA RESIDENTS, 1607-1800, Wulfeck, Vol 2, (originally Vol. 7) Surnames I-Z,   Mary Lilly m. John Reade, page 164, in the L’s.

Reade in R’s, page 22: John Reade, son of Col. George and Elizabeth (Martian), m before 1688, Mary Lilly, dau. of John.

Since he was born in Virginia, the US Southern Colonies Project would probably be a good start. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:US_Southern_Colonies

Please revisit your question and edit to add a) what you plan to add and b) the sources you are thinking of using.  These essential answers are not outlined in your question.
