how to profile an "unnamed" enslaved person?

I have date and place of birth (in some cases, mother's name) for unnamed enslaved persons, info gleaned from birth registers in the 1850s and 1860s.

Two questions:

* How do I list unnamed enslaved persons on slave owner's profile?

* How do I title an unnamed person profile where I can enter what information I have?

Thanks for guidance,
Gail

Hi Gail! Great question, here's the page about it, see Unnamed. US Black Heritage: Heritage Exchange Portal We don't create profiles for enslaved people for whom we don't have a first name or confirmed last name. Basically, if you have 10 or less unnamed slaves to mention, the info can go under a === Slaves === section on the slave owner profile. If there are more than 10 (or there's a lot of info, making the slave owner's profile really long) then make a space page. Let me know if you want me to do the first one for you, and then you can copy.

Okay, thanks.  I'll simply list them on the owner's profile page and write out the info I have, instead of linking the names with their own profiles (as I've done here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Ford-5381),

Thanks,
Gail
