Advice before editing this pre-1700 Putman profile?

I have information to contribute to the profile of David Janse (Putman) Pottman. This is what I can add:

Helena's LNAB was Beekman

  • David C PUTMAN was born13  in Nov 1684 in Schenectady, Albany County, New York. He died14  on 28 Oct 1761 in Pluckemin, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. He was buried15  in Oct 1761 in Pluckemin, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.

David married16  Helena BEEKMAN, daughter of Johannes Martense

BEEKMAN and Machtelt Jacobse SCHERMERHORN, about 1710 in Albany, Albany County, New York. Helena was born17  about 1689 in New Jersey. She died18  in New Jersey.

These are the sources I am using:

  • The Putman Family of Northern New York, Descendants of Peter Johannes Putman and Abraham Putman, Early Settlers of St. Lawrence County, New York, Compiled by Marilyn Coulon Putman (pg. 1)

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

Brandon, I've been looking for a digital copy of the cited work but cannot find one. Does it give primary sources for its information? Here's another place to look for Putman (and related families): http://www.billputman.com/the-genealogy/index.html

Here is a temporary link to the cited work. https://file.io/SGxj0kSb3VXo
Thanks for the download. I think the citation numbers for birth and death on this person might be off. Should they be items 13 and 14? For the birth we have a secondary source (Genealogy of David Putman and his descendants, 1645-1916, pub'd 1916, pg 24) which I am guessing offers no primary source or that would be cited. I didn't spend a lot of time searching for that work but I would track it down as on its own it doesn't meet pre-1700 guides unless it cites a primary source. This may be a good clue but you still need either a primary source or significant circumstantial or secondary evidence (wills, etc) from the period.
