Help with a dead end please

trying to find parents for James-11530 Bartlet James

I remember we had family history that said he came from Ireland or Scotland, I think it was Ireland but if he did the family most likely was from Ireland via Scotland via England cause everyone else in my tree did we are all Protestants from way back he was to have married Holmes-9168 she was from north carolina

seems to be a dead end where ever i search help please

Hi, Given his unusual christian name could he have reversed his name by any chance.   While Scotlands People site does not have any Bartlett James records in your timescale there are a few James Bartlett records listed.  Just a thought.

that is a though but doesn't feel right and I don't think he came directly from Europe either

my instincts tell me he was born in north. carolina because thats where his wife maybe from

I think it was his sons bible that we used to have that someone had written in that he came from scotsland

but there could have been a coulpe of Barrlets before him

I would guess they came about a 100 years earlier cause all the rest of my family did

but who knows
