I have been working on merges for the past couple months and today I came across a case where the sources are family trees that have confused men with the same.
I have outlined the problems on Thomas Shanks-586 and want to ask if anyone who is interested in working on SHANKS, can take it further to confirm which Thomas SHANKS belongs with which parents and which wives.
My preliminary GUESS is that ...
:- VA parents Lydia (Dickey) & John Shanks with son,
:Thomas Shanks-586, b: VA moved to Shelby Co, KY; d: 1822; m1:Gordon; m2: Bradford.
:- MD parents Judith (Goldsmith) & Thomas Shanks, Sr. with son,
:Thomas s/b=Robert Shanks-481, b: 1747 MD moved to Nelson Co, KY; d: 1792; m: Tippett.
But sources are needed to confirm before changes are made to the current profile status.
