Seeking the probate for Adrian Isaac Fouche

Hi all,

I'm trying to help a new member find out if Adrian Izak Fouche is his grandfather, and I believe that the probate will help us to answer this question. I've found the civil death but can't find the probate...would there be a kind soul and source finding wizard who could help us out?

Oops, thanks Lynn, I've added that in, but marked it as uncertain, as I'm not yet sure that this civil death is for this Adriaan, I'm hoping the probate for this civil death will clear it up. The probate I'm looking for has a death date and location of 9 July 1964 in Albany district, Cape Province.

This is not much of an answer, because we do not have the probate file record number (my quick search in NAAIRS was unsuccessful) and because the Eastern Cape records for 1964 are only approximately in date order (and I have not seen an index for it yet).  However, if you do have patience and fortitude, you could check the 1st or 2nd page of each of the 3000 files listed here: https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog/2155750?availability=Family%20History%20Library (July should be around the middle of that collection, but no guarantees).

Probate records for the source MOOC 6/9/ series are not online yet 1959-1972 Cape Probate - not online yet

The only way to go about it would be to search  the correct reference on NAAIRS and with this in hand seek the information from the Archives in Roeland street Cape Town
