Archbishop Desmond Tutu died on 26 December 2021 at the age of 98 years. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desmond_Tutu

I don't believe he has a Wikitree profile, at least I cannot find one.

No profile that I could find either.
Thanks, Scott. I just saw that Eddie King posted news of his death yesterday. Someone posted an obit tribute. I will see about setting up a site for him this weekend as there is information about his parents and family on his Wikipedia page. Thank you!

Profile started: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Tutu-2  - needs categories and . . . .  adoption - Notables ?

Thank you very much Richard

Much appreciated>

I added South African Roots as manager.

Left the profile as open (unless I receive instructions from living family to close)  for everyone to add information as they find it.
Richard and Ronel, thank you both so very much for implementing Archbishop Tutu's profile. Very much appreciated for this outstanding human being who graced our planet with love and light.
Your welcome Carol

Thank you for bringing our attention to the fact

I hope his profile will reflect the honour he deserves  and will pay tribute to his life.

Desmond Tutu: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Tutu-2

Sen. Harry Reid: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Reid-4966

John Madden: ??Wikiprofile? Here is his Wikipedia page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Madden (we share a birthday...month and day)

And as to more that just these three as Melanie mentions, there have been several others over the past few weeks including Motown singer Wanda Young on Dec. 15; Il Divo's Carlos Marin, who died of Covid at age 58 years on Dec 16; and Big Little Lies and Dallas Buyer's Club director Jean-Marc Vallee at age 58 on Dec. 26.

I will check to see if there are profiles for these notables as well as soon as I can get a chance.

That’s three Notables in three days. We lost Desmond Tutu, Senator Harry Reid, and John Madden.

It's been more than just those three deaths.

I did a bit more biography on Archbishop Tutu, if anyone would like to check the work. I've also made his 'Notability' a feature. What a remarkable man!
