Biography

GEORGE WATT The death occurred Sunday of George Watt, aged 72, at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. C.A. Haskell, 2005 Twenty-sixth street west. He had been ill for about eight months. Born at Logie Buchan, Scotland he came to Canada about 26 years ago and ranched at Dog Pound. He is survived by his widow, three sons, George and William, of Grimshaw, Alberta, and James, Dog Pound; and two daughters, Mrs. C.A. Haskell and Nurse Mary Watt, of Calgary. Funeral service will be held at Shaver's funeral chapel Tuesday at 3:30 o'clock in the afternoon, Rev. J. Rex Brown to officiate. Burial will take place at Burnsland. Mrs. Mary Watt Mrs. Mary Jane Watt, 84, died Sunday at her home, 2005 26th St. W., following a lengthy illness. Born in Ellon, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, she came to Calgary 42 years ago. She was a member of North Hill church. she leaves two daughters, Mary Watt and Mrs. C. A. Haskell of Calgary; three sons, George of Langley, B.C., James of Bottrel, and William of Suffield, Alberta.
