Biography

Arthur Edward Watson was born on 4 September 1902 in Myamyn, Victoria, Australia. He was the son of James Thomas Watson and Susan Jolly. ^{[1][2] [3]} Arthur married Jessie Ada Steff in 1923 in Victoria, Australia. ^[4]

Jessie and Arthur went on to have at least three children. They were:^[5]

Edna Susan (1924 - 2006,)

Catherine (1927-1927)

James Arthur (abt 1929-2008)

Gilbert Leslie (1929- )

Catherine, passed away in Hamilton in 1927, aged 3 months. ^[6]

The following table, taken from the Australian Electoral Rolls shows the places he lived at and his stated occupation. ^[7]

In 1968, he has not stated his occupation. He would have been 66 at the time, and had probably retired from work. His wife, Jessie Ada, passed away in 1970.

Arthur continued to live in the family home in Deniliquin until some tine after 1980. He passed away in Victoria, Australia in 1991, aged 89 years. ^[3][8] Arthur was buried in Deniliquinon 23 December 1991.^[9]
