We have to report with regret the death of Mrs. Ellen Miller, wife of Mr. John Miller, who passed away at her residence, Percy Street, Newtown, on Saturday evening, in her 48th year, after a long and painful illness. The deceased was a native of Maryborough, and was the second daughter of the late Mr. John Watson, lighthouse-keeper, at Whitecliffs, and sister of Mrs. John 0'Gorman, and Miss Charlotte Watson of this city, John Watson, Nanango ;Frederick Watson, Brisbane; Robert Watson, Maryborough ; James Watson, Port Douglas. She leaves a family of seven sons and two daughters, namely, George, William, Frederick, Edward, Vivian, Leo, Norman, Charlotte, and Alice. The funeral took place on Sun day afternoon and was largely attend ed, the Rev. Father Fitzgerald perform ing the burial service. The funeral was conducted by Messrs. Kirk and Son.
