George wrote his last will and testament on 4 Apr. 1856 (transcribed below). The will was proved on 30 Mar. 1857.[3]
The last Will and Testament of George Watson of Delaware Township of Northumberland County. I George Watson considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory blessed be Almighty God, for the same, do make and publish my last Will and Testament in manner & forms following (that is to say). First I give and bequeath unto my beloved children Angeline Armstrong, George C. Watson, Nancy Watson, Phebe A. Vincent and David Watson each share and share alike of my Estate. And further I direct that my son George C. Watsons portion be put in trust during his natural life-time and then the said portion is to revert back, to my children at the time of the said George C. Watson's decease. And further my Will is that Andrew Armstrong my son in law I direct to be his trustie. And further my deceased daughter Mary C. Fredericks portion shall be to her surviving heirs, One thousand dollars to be divided equally among my three grand sons George W. Fredericks, Warth (sp?) Fredericks, and John F. Fredericks, to remain in the hands my Executor until the said Grand children are of age. And further it is is my will if the said Grand children do not live or arrives to the age of twenty one years, their portion is to revert back my children. And further my deceased daughter Sarah J. Stewarts portion shall be five thousand dollars to her surviving heirs, to remain in the hands of my Executors until the said heirs arrived to the age of twenty one years, and in case of his decease it returns to my childrens. I hereby appoint Isaac Vincent David Watson and Andrew Armstrong my Executors of this my last Will and Testament; hereby revoking all former Wills by me made. Ive witness Whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and seal this fourth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty six.

George was buried at the Warrior Run Church Cemetery in Delaware Run, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.[4]. His wife's gravestone is right next to his gravestone.
