"Sample 1901 Carleton (New Brunswick) census records about the Wasson family available from Ancestry.ca: A Wasson family household of at least 10 members residing in the district of Carleton (New Brunswick) was recorded in 1901. The head of household, Havelock Wasson, was born in New Brunswick in 1859. He identified his heritage as Irish. By 1901, at the age of 41, he had an occupation that was recorded as "Farmer". Havelock's wife was Minnie Wasson, who was 30 years old. Minnie was born in New Brunswick in 1871. She identified her heritage as English. Havelock and Minnie had 8 children, 4 boys and 4 girls. In 1887 their eldest child, a boy named George, was born. Three years later, in 1890, when Havelock was 31 years old and Minnie was 19 years old their second son, who was named Walter, was born. Then, in 1892, with their two older sons ages 5 years and 2 years, their third child, Ella, was born. In 1901 another daughter, their fourth child and second girl, Clara, was born. With four other children in the household, their fifth child and third boy, Robert, was born in 1895. He was followed by 3 more children: their son Charles, born in 1897; their daughter Cora, born in 1899; and their daughter Flora, born in 1900. Thus, at the time of the 1901 census, this Wasson family household was filled with 8 children whose ages were 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, and 14 years.
