Sarah Turner was born in 1794 and baptised on 16 Feb 1794 at Finchingfield, Essex, England. She was the daughter of William Turner and Sarah Hammond.[1]
Henry Martin and Sarah Turner married on 29 April 1815 at St John the Baptist, Finchingfield, Essex. Witnesses were John Turner and Rebekah Smith.[2] They had two children: William Martin (b. 1815), Jane Martin (b. 1818).
Sarah Martin died on 26 April 1819 age 25. She was buried on 1 May 1819 at St John the Baptist, Finchingfield, Essex.[3] The gravestone says:
In Memory Of
JOHN the Son of
William and Sarah Turner
who died March 9th 1819
Aged 27 Years.
On the right lies SARAH
the Wife of Henry Martin
and Daughter of the above
who died April 26th 1819
Aged 25 Years.
When Sarah's father William Turner of Finchingfield, Blacksmith, wrote his will on 23 May 1826 he made bequests to his wife, multiple children and grandchildren including grandchildren William Martin, Jane Martin children of his deceased daughter Sarah Martin.[4]
