Reference to Stephen Trevenerry came from the lay subsidy lists for Cornwall of 1525, where he's listed in St Allen parish. He was actually one of the wealthier men in the parish, assessed for £14 worth of goods. He also appears in the 1543 list, but this time assessed for only £8 of goods. This may have been because there's also a John Trenery listed after him, possibly his son? John is assessed for £9. Both men's names are spelt Trenery in 1543.
