I also see your tree is leading you into Québécois project era, so you should get familiar with the existing guidelines on names and place names on the project page here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Quebecois
I definitely don't want to be creating extra work for anyone. Could you give me an example of which changes were not in line with the Quebecois Project so I can learn not to do the same in the future? I have read through that page quite a few times now, specifically the bits about naming conventions so I'll be quite embarrassed if I misunderstood it.

Thank you for reaching out. I have done what I quickly can, as described in "After Adopting Orphans" and managing my watchlist, at least as far as I understand those two pages. Even so, I have a couple questions about how other members take care of their managed profiles, beyond just checking for hints and matches. I am already a member of the discord, but is there someone I could reach out to for a (quick) real time conversation on these topics? I'm currently in GMT-7 timezone, but work quite late, which seems to be when others are not around.
Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
