I was not sure that I would have time to add all the Whittington profiles. I am working on a line of the Polk family. I just added Benjamin Polk: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Polk-1669 husband of Sarah Whittington.

Hi Rand,

I haven’t heard back from you about the break up of the United Kingdom Project. I hope all is well with you. I assume you don’t wish to join any of the country-level projects at present, and will go ahead and remove the United Kingdom badge. If you wish to join England, Scotland, Wales or Ireland in the future, you would be most welcome to do so via the respective G2G sign-up post.

Many thanks for all your contributions,

Susie :-)

Hi Rand,

We realise the time has come to dissolve the UK Project in favour of the individual country projects of England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

We are checking in with all UK badge holders to find out which country project(s) you would like to be in so you can collaborate with other members, have the opportunity to select which team(s) you would like to join, and so we can ensure you have all the correct badges.

Please respond by PM to let us know which country project(s) you would like to be in. Please don’t assume we know. We are effectively starting from scratch to make sure no one falls through the cracks.

Once you have done this, the Coordinator for Membership in the relevant country project(s) will be in touch to help get you situated.

Many thanks,

Susie

Hi! I was just working on the profile for Clare-58, son of Magna Carta Surety Baron Gilbert Clare-673/grandson of Richards Clare-651 (also a Surety Baron), and saw two Y-DNA testers... you & Michael Cayley. Y'all both show as haplogroup R-M269. Have you compared your DNA?

If so, would you & Michael mind sharing the results on Clare-673 & Clare-651?

Thanks! Liz

In Ref: Littleton-559 and Littleton-336 are not ready to be merged because: Dates and spouse inconsistancies require additional research

Rand I had forgotten that I had already researched the spouse question and found that Sarah is the supported spouse. I'm going to repropose this merge so we can get it taken care of.

Thank you for so speedily adding me to the trusted list for profiles in which we have a common interest.

Ran, you have worked so hard on your tree that I have decided to pronounce you "The Merge King". You are a BIG help to us all. Thank you! Peggy

Hi Rand;

I am a possible descendant of "The Conqueror". I have had all the test that FTDNA offers including the BigY (27936). I did the Ancestry.com DNA test which is a duplicate of one of the FTDNA test. I sent my BigY RAW DATA to YFULL for analysis unfortunately I am totally dumb when it comes to DNA and all things associated. My email address is [email address removed] in case you would care to help in making a determination as to our possible relationship. Joe Williams

Hi Rand

Thank you for joining the Magna Carta Project. If you go to the project page: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Magna_Carta , you will see a link to the Base Camp page. This is where all project communication takes place. If you have any questions let me know or post them on the comment section of the base camp page.

Otherwise, look at the page, pick a trail & start sourcing.

Happy Hunting!

Doug

Regarding John Doane or Done, you are referring to Doane-11, whose birth and death dates match those of whom you write. If you read both biographies it does distinguish them from each other.

Hi Randy, There are some merges that need to happen with the surname Twinning (double N), that should be Twining (one N). I'll be proposing some of those. ~Sandi
