Elizabeth C. "Mam Maw" Parker SHREVEPORT, LA - Mrs. Elizabeth C. "Mam Maw" Parker passed away on August 29, 2005, at her residence. She was born on July 16, 1928, in Gillark, LA. Mrs. Parker was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to all her children. Mam Maw enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren often. She also liked to read, play cards, and loved to go shopping. Mrs. Parker was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Parker; son David Parker; parents: Jesse and Dora Crockett; brothers: William, Howard, and Van Crockett; and a grandson Gregory Dever. Surviving her are her children and their spouses: Margaret and Mike Dever of Visalia, CA, Emily and Dudley Hunt of Milton, FL, Perry and Brenda Parker of Shreveport, Steve and Trish Parker of Bossier City; brother Stanley Crockett of Birmingham, AL; daughter-in-law Janice Cooley of Windsor, CO; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will be receiving friends at Boone Funeral Home on Thursday, September 1, 2005, from 1-3 p.m. Boone Funeral Home.
