Biography
William was baptised on 17 April 1853 in Coalpit Heath by parents Charles and Sarah (nee Bryant). Charles was a Collier. [1]
In 1861 William was one of 3 children living with parents Charles and Sarah in Iron Acton. Sarah's sister, Martha Bryant also lived there. [2]
On 7 November 1874 William married Hannah Mainstone in Iron Acton. William was a Miner as was his father Charles. Hannah's father Edwin was a Time Keeper. [3]
By 1891 William and Hannah had moved to Mountain Ash, Glamorgan, Wales and were living with 6 children. William was a Coal Miner. [4]
Hannah died aged 39 in 1894. In 1911 William noted they had been married 36 years and had 10 children of whom 4 died before 1911. He was a Timber worker in a Colliery and was living with daughters Mabel and Annie. [5]
William died aged 80 in 1935. His death was registered in Pontypridd. [6]
