Biography
Chester was born in 1816.
Chester was a fisherman and then turned hotel keeper. He was the son of Chester and Laura Bullard Norton with siblings: Chauncey, Harriet, and Emily. He had come to Wood County with his father who was also Chester. His father was a merchant. Chester Jr. married Theressa Curtis on 14 January 1844 in Wood County and they had Ella. Theressa died in 1847, and he then married Sophia Bloomfield before 1850. Their children were
- Chester K.(1850),
- Louisa (1852),
- Jessie S.(1854), and
- William Chester (1857-1912), and
- Laura (1862-1862).
Chester died from cancer at the age of 14 days short of his seventy-seventh birthday .
He passed away in 1893.
