Biography
Joseph Moore was born May 4, 1777, in Beaver county, Pennsylvania, a son of Thomas Moore and Rachel Phillis. Joseph married Jane Swaney, born 1781, in Pennsylvania. Children of Joseph and Jane include:
- Thomas Moore, born June 16, 1803, died February 5, 1871, married Jane Wood, daughter of William & Jane Wood December 20, 1827
- Samuel Moor(e), born May 1, 1804, died February 15, 1866, married Martha Beal, daughter of David and Isabella Beal, in 1830
Jane (Swaney) Moore died in 1819, at the age of 37 years and is buried in the Old Mill Creek Cemetery, in Hookstown, Beaver County, Pennsylvania. Joseph survived his wife, and passed away October 10, 1847, at the age of 70 years, in Beaver county, Pennsylvania. He is also buried in the Mill Creek Cemetery. [1]
