Biography
Native Virginian
James was born in 1841. He was the son of Alexander McConchie and Catherine Martin. He is listed with his parents on the 1850 Census[1] and the 1860 Census[2] in his birthplace of Fauquier County, Virginia. He married Martha Brown in about 1869 (marriage record needed) and is listed with Martha and four children on the 1880 Census.[3] He passed away in 1897.
