Damase was born 20 Aug 1858. He was the son of Jean Baptiste Martineau and his wife Marie Elizabeth Morisset. He was baptized the next day in St-Michel-de-Bellechasse, godparents were Damase Morisset and Philomène Martineau who both sign along with the father. [1]
On 23 Sep 1889, in Cathédrale St-Michel de Sherbrooke, Damase Martineau adult son of deceased Jean Baptiste Martineau and deceased Elizabeth Morisset married Eléonore Lanctôt minor daughter of Antoine Lanctôt and deceased Josephte Toupin. Witnesses were groom's brother, Honoré Martineau, bride's father and a few others, both witnesses, bride, groom and a few others sign. [2]
