Biography

Thomasine Martin was born in Cumberland, England.

Thomasine's first child, Thomas, appears to have been born several years before her marriage.^[1] Thomasine also appears as Thomasina. She is called Mary on Isabella and Mary's marriage registers.^[2][3]
Thomasina was listed as a widow by 1861.^[4]
By 1891, John, William and Helen were all still single and living on the farm with their mother. By that time, Ann had become a widow and had moved back with her two sons.^[5]
