Biography

Sarah Martin was born on March 01, 1884 in Hickman's Harbour, Newfoundland. Her parents were James Martin and Elizabeth Blundell. [1]

She married William Vardy on December 21, 1905. [2]
Together they had 5 children:

  1. Maggie Vardy
  2. David Vardy
  3. Effie Vardy
  4. Wilfred Vardy
  5. Alfred Vardy

She is listed on the 1921, [3] 1935 [4] and 1945 [5] census at Hickman's Harbour.

Sarah passed away in 1949 [6] She is buried in the new United Church Cemetery in Hickman's Harbour. [7]
