Charles married Eulalie Bourgeois on 23 Nov 1868 in Grande-Digue.[3][4] A dispensation was granted for 3 to 4 degrees of consanguinity (they were second cousins once removed, view relationship). He was noted as being from the parish of Shediac and she was from Grande-Digue. Witnesses were Paul LeBlanc and Marie Blanche Hebert.
