Biography
Marie was born about 1821. She married Marcel Richard on 28 Nov 1843.[1] They were both noted as being from the parish of Dorchester. Witnesses were Thaddée LeBlanc and Marguerite Richard.
In the 1861 census Mary, age 40, was in Shediac, Westmorland, New Brunswick.[2] She was listed as the wife of Marshal Richard with children Dosty, Dominic, Margret, Phillippe, Silvang, and Thaddy.
Ten years later, in 1871, Mary, age 46, still in Shediac, was listed as the wife of Marcel Richard, with children Marguerite, Philippe, Sylvang, Thady, and Calliseti.[3]
In the 1881 census Marie, age 56, was in Shediac with her husband Marcel and sons Thadda and Calixt.[4]
In the 1891 census Marie, age 67, was in Shediac with her husband Marcel, sons Thadee and Calixte, and 10-year-old Marguerite Richard.[5]
In the 1901 census Marie, age 77, was a lodger in the household of her son Calixte Richard in Shediac.[6] Her date of birth was given as 17 Mar 1823.
She Passed away at age 85 in Cap-Pelé on 7 Jul 1909.[7]
