Osite Barbe Leblanc, daughter of Marcel Leblanc (~1732–1786) and Marie Josèphe Breau (~1737–~1811), was born in February, 1769 in St. James, Louisiana, New Spain.[1]
Osite (15) married Paul Melancon in 1785 in St. James, Spanish Louisiana.[2]
Ozite Barbe Leblanc was buried at St. James Church cemetery on 24 August 1811. The burial record notes that she was about 44 years old and that she was the wife of Paul Melanson.[3]
