Cajétan was born 16 October 1789 the son of Pierre LeBlanc and Marie Madeleine Goulet. He was baptized the next day at Saint-Denis-sur-Richelieu.[1] His godfather was his father's cousin Cajétan LeBlanc, who himself was the son of Pierre's uncle Cajétan LeBlanc who had died in 1781.
He was married in 1815 to Thérèse Boucher-Desrosiers. When their son Jean Baptiste married in 1841 at Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu they were said to be living at Williston, Vermont.
