Biography

Joseph was born about 1742. He was the son of Charles LeBlanc and Madeleine Girouard. [1]

Joseph was living at Grosses Coques in 1813: Extrait du journal de François Lambert Bourneuf (1787-1871), paru dans L'Évangéline 3 Mars 1892:

"Ce fût avec le coeur navré de chagrin que je quittai les gens de Pombcoup en l'été 1813, pour venir m'installer aux Grosses Coques chez monsieur Joseph dit Joppé Leblanc..."
"It was with sorrow and broken heart that I left the people of Pombcoup in the summer of 1813, to come and settle in Grosses Coques with Monsieur Joseph dit Joppé Leblanc ..." [2]

He passed away about 1820. [citation needed]
