Biography

Marie Magdeleine LeBlanc, daughter of Simon Joseph LeBlanc (1744 - 1810) and Elizabeth LeBlanc (1754 - 1815) was born on 25 October 1775 in Ascension, Louisiana, New Spain.^[1][2]

She was counted with her parents and a sibling on a census dated 23 April 1777, of settlers along Bayou Lafourche in Ascension.^[3]

Marie Magdeleine married Hippolyte Carmouche on 16 July 1805 in Ascension Parish.^[4]

Their known children were:
