Biography

Pierre LeBlanc is a descendant of an Acadian

Pierre dit Pierrot LeBlanc was born on 15 August 1776 in Franklin Manor.^[1] He was the son of Joseph LeBlanc and Marguerite Forest.

He married Anne dite Nannette Comeau around 1797. ^[1]

Pierre passed away in 1813, possibly of yellow fever. (Date is omitted in register). He was buried on 16 May 1813 in Memramcook. ^[2] His parents and his sister Marie had died a few weeks earlier, in April.

« Joseph dit Jean-André LeBlanc was born abt 1748, son of Joseph-André LeBlanc and Marguerite Hébert. In the register for Franklin Manor, we are told that Joseph dit Jean-André LeBlanc married Marguerite Forest at 14 August 1775. It goes on to say that about 1810, Joseph and his wife went to Fox-Creek to their son Pierre's home and that it was here that they both died in May of 1813 from yellow fever. Joseph and Marguerite Forest had four children: Pierre, Jean, Marie and Emmanuel.» ^[3]
