Biography

Gregoire LeBlanc was born on 10 Mar 1832 in La Batture (Shediac), New Brunswick, the son of Pierre LeBlanc and Madeleine Landry.[1][2]

Gregoire married Marie Breau, widow of Wilfrid Bilodeau, on 16 Apr 1861 in Grande-Digue, Kent.[3][4][5]

In the 1871 census Grigoire (age 39) lived in Dundas, Kent, New Brunswick.[6] The household included Grigoire Leblanc 39, Marie Leblanc 37, Marie Elvina Leblanc 9, Philippe Leblanc 7, Wilfrid Leblanc 4, and Sara Bilodeau 15.

In the 1881 census Grigoise (age 48), cultivateur, lived in Dundas, Kent, New Brunswick.[7]

Gregoire, widower of Marie Breau, married Marie Poirier, widow of Athanase Poirier, on 3 Aug 1884 in Grande-Digue.[8] A dispensation was granted for 3 to 3 degrees of consanguinity (they were second cousins, view relationship) and for affinity (Marie was the second cousin of Gregoire's first wife Marie Breau, view relationship).

Gregoire died on 24 Dec 1908 in Grande-Digue, aged 76.[9]
